Beyond Borders: John sayles in Mexico is a one hour documentary which explores the making of
John Sayle's film Casa de Los Babys, the themes of adoption in foreign countries and the
social-economic reality in Central and Latin America.
Shot in Acapulco over the course of six weeks in the summer of 2002, this documentary captures
the spirit of an American independent director at work in a foreign country and goes beyond
the tradditional making of to expand on the themes of the film itself.
