Hate
Marcia Gay Harden stars in the new Showtime pilot Hate from executive producers Paris Barclay
and James DeMonaco. American Beauty producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen will also be involved
in some producing capacity. Production is scheduled to begin this month with Barclay directing
from a script by Barclay and DeMonaco.
Hate centers on the hate crimes unit of the NYPD. Harden plays Chief Jackie Mantello who
must find a balance between her demanding job and an emotionally troubled son. Eamonn Walker,
Jeremy Davidson, Rosa Arredondo, Ken Leung, Daniel Sauli and Aisha Hinds also star.
A release date has not been set yet.
