"Home" is the story about a woman and her young daughter, which is set
in the 1960s. Marcia Gay Harden plays Inga, who, before the film begins, had a mastectomy after being
diagnosed with breast cancer. “It’s set in 1969, so breast cancer was a much more intense,
private experience,” says Haverstick. “Her future is unknown and she is grappling with the
issue of whether she will see her daughter grow up.” The story looks at Inga’s problems with
addiction and trying to break family patterns of abuse.
