According to Variety, Marcia Gay Harden has been penciled into the lineup for
Paramount's remake of Bad News Bears, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Greg Kinnear.
The Oscar winner is in negotiations to portray an attorney who recruits Thornton's character to
coach a Little League team of misfits. Richard Linklater is helming, with shooting expected to
begin November 15th. The comedy will be released next summer.
"Bad News Bears" has been scripted by Bad Santa writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa in a remake
of the studio's 1976 comedy, which starred Tatum O'Neal and Walter Matthau. |
