Harden and Goodman join special reading

Marcia Gay Harden and John Goodman have joined the star-studded cast of a special reading of two plays. "Theater of the New Ear" will feature performances - which will be taped for later broadcast on satellite radio - in New York City on 28-30 April (05). Harden and Goodman will join Steve Buscemi, Hope Davis, Peter Dinklage, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Brooke Smith and Meryl Streep in a reading of "Sawbones" by film-makers Joel and Ethan Coen and "Hope leaves the Theater", by Charlie Kaufman. The performances will be accompanied by a eight-piece band.

Harden to make Philharmonic debut

Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden is taking to the stage this month to make her New York Philharmonic debut. The "Pollock" star is among the ensemble cast performing a semi-staged version of Mendelsshohn's complete incidental music to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". The Philharmonic performances at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan are scheduled for tomorrow (17 March 2005), Saturday (19 March 2005) and Tuesday (22 March 2005).


Marcia Gay Harden to receive Texas Hall of Fame Award

Marcia Gay Harden will be among the recipients of the 2005 Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards. The accolade will be handed out to Lauren Bacall, Irma P. Hall, Dennis Quaid and Robert Rodriguez later this March.
