Marcia Gay Harden set to play First Lady Posted: 2005-08-01 According to the Hollywood Reporter, Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has joined writer/director Paul Weitz's American Dreamz at Universal Pictures. Harden will play the first lady opposite Dennis Quaid's president. Already cast are Hugh Grant, Richard Dreyfuss, Willem Dafoe and Mandy Moore. Weitz is producing with his brother Chris Weitz and their producing partner Andrew Miano through their Depth of Field production company. Dafoe will play the role of vice president Sutter in the film, described as a satire of American politics and show business.
