Details on Marcia's role in "The Mist"

Aintitcoolnews.com has posted a very interesting set report from "The Mist" which is currently being filmed, giving lots of insight on the making - and Marcia's character:

The front of the store has 5 check-out lanes facing the windowed front of the store. The lanes are all clogged with people, lines stretching back down the aisles. In these lines (or at the registers) are the majority of our characters. Including Marcia Gay Harden in her Mrs. Carmody get-up. It’s not a tracksuit, like in the original story, but I like the change. It feels more right for the character. She’s now wearing a silk head scarf and very schoolmarmish dress and blouse. Harden looks fuckin’ mean. I like it. God, Carmody’s such a bitch… it’s gonna be great to hate Harden onscreen.

    • Marcia Gay Harden to star in Stephen King's "The Mist"

    According to Entertainment Tonight, the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's horror novella, "The Mist", has begun production, with director Frank Darabont at the helm, according to Daily Variety. Marcia Gay Harden, Toby Jones, Thomas Jane and Andre Braugher star in the story of people who attempt to survive in a supermarket after a deadly mist covers their town, unleashing deadly creatures. 'The Mist' marks director Darabont's third King story film adaptation, after 'The Green Mile' and 'The Shawshank Redemption.' Marcia will play Mrs. Carmody.

    "Canvas" will be screened at the AFI Dallas Film Festival

    "Canvas" will be screened at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival on March 29 and March 31, 2007. The film, in which Marcia portrays a mother suffering from schizophrenia, previously world-premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
