Marcia Gay Harden is not to be "Mist"

When was the last time Marcia Gay Harden threatened to remove someone's body part with a knife? The question barely gives the actress pause. "Well, I threatened to cut out someone's heart in 'King of Texas,' a Western remake of 'King Lear,'" she offers. "And I threaten to cut someone's tongue out in this movie." Then she laughs. "Those are great lines to say!" "This movie" is "Stephen King's The Mist," a horror thriller opening Wednesday. For Harden, it was part of the fun of her role: Mrs. Carmody, a devout woman who sees herself as a prophet of doom when she and fellow townspeople are trapped in a supermarket by a mysterious mist, which contains otherworldly monsters that gobble up anyone who ventures into the fog. Marcia has attended yesterday's premiere for "The Mist" in New York. She was accompanied by husband Thaddeus Scheel and shared the red carpet with co-stars Thomas Jane, Laurie Holden and Frances Sternhagen, director Frank Darrabont and the master of horror himself, Stephen King. "The Mist releases US theaters on November 21, 2007.


Marcia to star in "The Lonely Maiden"

Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden pulled into Back Bay Station yesterday to begin filming “The Lonely Maiden.” The “Mystic River” star will play the wife of Christopher Walken in the comedy about three museum guards - Walken, Morgan Freeman and William H. Macy - who plot to steal the eponymous piece of art because they hear it is being shipped off to another museum. Word is, Walken’s character moves from obsessing over the art to learning the true value of the lovely Maiden he married.

Added 250+ DVD screencaps of Marcia's performance in "The Insivible". The film wasn't as bad as the critics wrote, so it wasn't a waste of time at all (although I thought the original was better ;-) The DVD features additional deleted scenes with Marcia, so its worth renting.
