"God of Carnage" tickets now available

Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden will star in "God of Carnage", the new play by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, directed by Matthew Warchus, opening on Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45 Street) on Sunday March 22. Previews will begin on February 28. Tickets which had been available for American Express cardholders only in a pre-sale special are now available to the general public, order by clicking here. The Jacobs Box Office will be open for business starting February 9th, 2009. "God of Carnage" will be produced by Robert Fox, David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, Stuart Thompson, Scott Rudin, and The Shubert Organization. The play comes to Broadway after a sold-out run in London's West End in 2008. The official website can be launched here.

Marcia Gay Harden and more to honor Marian Seldes

Tony Award winner Marian Seldes will be the honoree at The Vineyard Theatre's annual benefit gala, to be held at The Rainbow Room on Monday, February 9 at 6 pm. Celebrity participants will include Nathan Lane, Anika Noni Rose, Marcia Gay Harden, Lucie Arnaz, Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Patricia Clarkson, Craig Lucas, Terrence McNally, as well as McKenzie Frey, Angela Grovey and Rebecca Naomi Jones, who co-starred in the Vineyard's recent production of Wig Out!. The gala will celebrate its theme of community spirit and neighborhood involvement by also honoring The Union Square Partnership. Seldes originated her role in Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Three Tall Women at the Vineyard in 1993. She won a Tony for her performance in A Delicate Balance, and was Tony-nominated for Dinner at Eight, Ring Round the Moon, Deathtrap, and Father's Day. Gandolfini, Harden, Daniels to star in "God of Carnage"

According to Playbill, Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden will star in Yasmina Reza's "God of Carnage" - translated by Christopher Hampton - which will begin previews at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre Feb. 28. Opening night on Broadway is set for March 22. Matthew Warchus, who directed the London production, will also helm the Broadway staging. The play, according to press notes, "is a comedy of manners without the manners. The play deals with the aftermath of a playground altercation between two boys and what happens when their parents meet to talk about it." The Bernard Jacobs Theatre is located in Manhattan at 242 West 45th Street.

Little Airplane Productions Children's Book Division

Hope you've all had a good start into 2009. To wrap up with 2008's updates, there have been pictures added from Marcia's December 18 appearance at the Little Airplane Productions Children's Book Division



Little Airplane Productions has launched Little Airplane Books, a new division that will create and produce original books for preschoolers and early readers. Little Airplane Books will be headed by writer, director and producer, Tone Thyne. Little Airplane Books was officially introduced during a special reading event for children at Little Airplane Studios, featuring Marcia Gay Harden. On December 18 at 5 p.m., the Academy Award-winning actress is scheduled to read from Josh Selig's book of children's poems entitled "A Book for You". The book is illustrated by Stephanie Cleaver.
